Adding a Training Opportunity
To add a training opportunity to this website, I need to have as a minimum
the date, course title, sponsoring district or council, and the course director's
contact information (email or phone number). The following are the options,
in order of preference:
If the course flyer is already on-line, then I will reference it there - please
give me the Internet address URL.
If your course flyer is not on-line, then I can post it on my site and point
to it there. I will need the electronic copy of the flyer, which I will convert
to Acrobat PDF format (if it is not HTML).
If you have no flyer but would still like to publicize your course, then
I will need the date, course title, sponsoring district or council, and the
course director's contact information (email or phone number). Please format
this information nicely in an e-mail and I will post that to my site in HTML
format, and point to it there.
In any event, the course director must be agreeable to posting his/her contact
information on an Internet web site. A possible drawback to this would be an
increase in unsolicited advertising (i.e. Spam e-mail or phone calls). Some
course directors prefer to substitute the contact information of their Scout
service center and/or professional advisor.
The bottom line is that we have to take me out of the loop and enable any questions
to come directly to someone responsible for the particular course.
